and the bay and ground fog in the north bay valleys. 32 degrees in santa rosa. 34 livermore. 35 degrees in concord. high pressure overhead. the ridge going to remain in place all week long. that means lots of sunshine for the better part of the week and some very mild temperatures in many spots in the afternoon. today usually you see average temperatures in the 50s and 60s. i think probably a little bit above average into santa rosa about 64. about 61 degrees and sunny in livermore. 61 degrees in san francisco. and 62 degrees in san jose. warmer weather ahead. we'll talk more about that in a moment. right now let's check the roads with elizabeth. >> thank you, lawrence. once again a member of the kcbs phone force letting us know what's going on in the crash heading into los gatos in the santa cruz mountains. not causing significant delays near idylwild road. as for the south bay what we're watching are new metering lights. they should be activated any moment. they haven't been yet through downtown san jose on northbound 280. but they were scheduled
with 39. 47 in santa rosa and 43 in napa. what those colder temperatures are doing right now is hoping to squeeze out any available moisture in the atmosphere and that is helping to create some low clouds and some areas of patchy fog. granted, visibility isn't too bad. it is six miles and or less. by tomorrow morning, we are going to see that visibility reduced. let's take you outside our live network. you can see we do have the cloud cover here toward the top of the screen. as we take you into emeryville also near the top of the screen, if you got that hd set finely tune, you will notice the cloud cover. in san rafael, it is pretty raisy. let's get you back to the weather boards and what we are tracking is a pretty active area of pacific moisture. this area of low pressure is winding up out here about a thousand miles offshore. the problem with this is all that rainfall will be yet again heading into seattle. the larger thing i'm seeing is the jet stream will be pushing right off the south. that will allow this foggy pattern in the morning and then cooler afternoon temperatures as we
